A Registered Nurse provides medical care and treatment, educates patients about their conditions, and provides emotional support to patients and families. Key Responsibilities:
Provide comprehensive nursing care to adult patients with diverse medical and surgical conditions. Conduct patient assessments, develop individualized care plans, and monitor patient progress. Administer medications, IV therapies, blood products, and other treatments as prescribed. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including physicians, pharmacists, and case managers to ensure coordinated, high-quality care. Educate patients and families on disease management, medications, and discharge instructions. Recognize and respond promptly to changes in patient condition to ensure safety. Maintain accurate documentation while delivering compassionate, evidence-based care.
Qualifications and Skills:
Graduate of an accredited nursing school; Associate or Bachelor's degree in Nursing required. Current valid North Carolina RN license or Multi-State/Compact license. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through American Red Cross or American Heart Association.
Preferred:
One year of medical-surgical or acute care nursing experience.
