  • temporary assignment in a hospital setting Responsibilities Deliver direct nursing care in the Emergency Department, including patient assessment, documentation, observation of signs and symptoms, and implementation of the medical/nursing plan.
Administer medications via oral, subcutaneous, intramuscular, and intravenous routes; utilize barcode scanning in the electronic health system; monitor IV sites and infusion rates; discontinue IV therapy as indicated. Observe, record, and report changes in patient condition; respond to clinical changes and escalate to the physician as appropriate; maintain accurate and complete patient records. Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and the care team to plan, implement, and evaluate patient care; provide total patient care as assigned across ER, Med/Surg, LDR, and Nursery per demonstrated competency. Maintain and prepare treatment areas and equipment; assist with procedural setups, sterilization, room turnover, and supply management; ensure a safe and clean care environment. Provide obstetrical and newborn care as competency allows, including support through labor, delivery, postpartum care, and newborn observation when applicable; promote patient education and self-care upon discharge. Requirements Active Nebraska RN license (current and in good standing) Graduate of an accredited school of nursing Current CPR, ACLS, TNCC, NRP, and STABLE certifications Ability to work night shifts (5:00 p.m
