The average length of stay is 3 to 4 days, with nurse-to-patient ratios of 5:1 on days and typically 6:1 on nights. This fast-paced environment offers the opportunity to develop strong clinical skills while working alongside experienced nurses, educators, preceptors, and leaders dedicated to your success. What to Expect The Nurse Residency Program begins with Corporate Orientation and Nursing & Clinical Orientation and continues through successful completion of required courses, competencies, and at least 50% of elective coursework (approximately 8 months).
