Category Schools - RN Nurse Job Type Contract Take your nursing expertise beyond the traditional clinical setting and empower students to thrive in their learning environment. As a contract School RN, you'll play a pivotal role in supporting student health and well-being at every level. This opportunity allows you to manage and deliver essential health services while collaborating with a dedicated educational community. To excel in this position, you should have: Active RN license with credentials to practice in a school setting Previous school nursing or pediatric experience preferred Solid assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation skills Strong organizational prowess and the ability to coordinate health screenings, immunizations, and documentation Excellent communication skills to serve as a liaison among healthcare providers, faculty, families, and community partners Knowledge of child protection laws, NH State immunization requirements, and confidentiality regulations Your responsibilities will include: Organizing, administering, and managing comprehensive school health services Conducting health assessments and implementing individualized health care plans Promoting health education, wellness, and disease prevention for students and staff Providing direct and indirect care in compliance with district policies and physician orders Ensuring accurate health records, managing accident reporting, and maintaining compliance with state and district regulations Facilitating screenings, physical exams, immunization programs, and emergency response plans Participating in the development of IEPs and student safety initiatives Delivering in-service health education and staff training Acting as a resource for classroom health education and supporting ongoing professional development This is a fantastic opportunity to make a lasting impact and be a vital part of a supportive educational team.
