Behavioral Health Registered Nurse

Job Description

Position Overview We are seeking an experienced Psychiatric Registered Nurse (RN) for a travel assignment at a pediatric/adolescent psychiatric hospital and residential treatment facility. This position is ideal for a Psych RN who has previous experience working with pediatric and/or adolescent psychiatric patients and is comfortable providing nursing care in a behavioral health setting.
Important:
This is a pediatric/adolescent facility. Candidates must be comfortable and willing to work with a pediatric patient population. Responsibilities Provide general and specialized nursing care under the direction of the Nurse Manager. Utilize the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care. Administer medications and provide medical treatments as ordered. Participate in comprehensive treatment planning with the multidisciplinary treatment team. Monitor and document patient conditions, responses to treatment, and nursing interventions. Perform blood draws and other clinical duties as required. Support the overall treatment and well-being of pediatric and adolescent residents. Follow facility policies, procedures, and standards of nursing practice. Contribute to a safe, therapeutic, and supportive environment. Uphold the organization's mission, vision, and nursing practice model in daily practice. Requirements Active New Hampshire or Compact RN License BLS certification CPI certification Previous pediatric psychiatric experience required Previous phlebotomy experience required Must be comfortable performing blood draws on pediatric/adolescent patients Strong psychiatric/behavioral health nursing experience Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with a multidisciplinary treatment team
