This contract role is specifically tailored for a dedicated nursing professional who can commit to Extended School Year (ESY) and New School Year (NSY) transport assistance. Your expertise will ensure the safe transit of a student with specialized needs, focusing on compassion and reliability.

Key Qualifications and Experience:

Valid and active LPN or higher nursing license (NH preferred or compact) Experience in a school or pediatric setting is highly desirable Familiarity with non-verbal, mobility-challenged students, preferably with AAC device experience CPR and First Aid certifications required Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with students, families, and staff Must complete district-specific onboarding, including a fingerprint background check

Primary Responsibilities:

Accompany a student on the school bus each morning (approx. 7:259:30) and afternoon (returning around 1:00 for pickup) Monitor and assist with the student's healthcare needs during transit, ensuring safety and comfort at all times Collaborate with the students care team as needed to provide updates and relay any concerns Maintain accurate documentation of any incidents or concerns during transportation Exhibit professionalism, empathy, and dedication throughout every interaction
