Role Overview:
Provide comprehensive care to adult and geriatric patients on a busy Medical-Surgical unit, applying your expertise while embracing new protocols, systems, and healthcare technology. Schedule/Hours:
Travel role—flexibility required for rotating shifts and weekend coverage, as needed.
Responsibilities:
Deliver high-quality, patient-centered nursing care on Medical-Surgical units Conduct patient assessments, develop care plans, and coordinate treatments with physicians and allied health professionals Administer medications, monitor patient progress, and respond to changes in condition Educate patients and families, facilitating understanding of diagnoses and ongoing care Delegate tasks as appropriate and provide guidance to support staff Ensure accurate documentation and compliance with all hospital and regulatory policies
Qualifications:
Active and unencumbered RN license Minimum 1 year recent experience in a Medical-Surgical setting BLS certification (required); additional certifications a plus Excellent communication, organizational, and critical thinking skills Ability to adapt to new environments and technologies with a positive, teamwork-oriented attitude
