Job Description

The Stepping Stones Group is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for a contracted, school-based placement in Bellmawr, NJ for the 2026-2027 school year! This is a full-time Building Nurse role supporting a local K-12 district with nursing services. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Active RN license valid in New Jersey Graduate of an accredited BSN program Current
BLS CPR/AED
certification Knowledge of nurse delegation practices and state scope-of-practice regulations Ability to work independently and exercise clinical judgment Experience working with a pediatric population School-based nursing experience
WHAT YOU'LL DO
Provide first aid and manage everyday illnesses (headaches, stomachaches, injuries) Monitor students with chronic conditions (asthma, diabetes, seizures, allergies, mental health conditions) and implement routine and PRN medications and care per orders Verify medical orders, document medication administration, and safely administer routine and PRN medications Act as the lead responder to medical emergencies on campus Train staff on emergency protocols and equipment use Develop and update IHPs (Individualized Healthcare Plans), IEPs (Individualized Education Plans), and 504 Plans related to medical conditions; participate in meetings as needed Collaborate with parents and school staff regarding students with medical needs Conduct or assist with health screenings (vision, hearing, growth/BMI, blood pressure) Delegate and supervise nursing tasks in accordance with state regulations
