Category Nursing - RN - Cath Lab Job Type Contract Step into a vital nursing role specializing in the Cath Lab, where your expertise will help deliver high-quality care to patients requiring cardiovascular services. This engaging position offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic environment that prioritizes critical thinking, swift response, and compassionate patient interactions. Schedule options to fit your lifestyle: Four 10-hour shifts: 6:30am-5:30pm Five 8-hour shifts: 6:30am-2:30pm 10-15 on-call shifts per month dedicated to STEMI and stroke coverage Desired experience and qualifications: Valid RN license with Cath Lab experience preferred NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification required Strong assessment skills and ability to work efficiently under pressure Solid understanding of interventional cardiovascular procedures Exceptional communication and collaborative skills Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications Key responsibilities: Assist with a wide range of procedures including cardiac catheterization and diagnostic/interventional therapies Monitor patients' clinical conditions before, during, and after procedures Safely administer medications and manage equipment in accordance with protocols Respond rapidly and appropriately to emergencies such as STEMI or stroke incidents Provide education and support to patients and their families throughout the care process Collaborate closely with physicians, techs, and other nursing professionals to support optimal patient outcomes Take advantage of a role that will make a meaningful impact on patient lives, offering diverse experiences in both routine and emergent care scenarios.
