Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Part Time Day Shift Registered Nurse (RN) to join our dynamic healthcare team. In this vital role, you will provide compassionate patient care, perform comprehensive assessments, and support treatment plans . Your shift will vary 2-3 days a week during Monday thru Friday. Your expertise will help ensure high-quality care delivery during daytime hours, fostering a positive environment for clients and staff alike. This position offers an excellent opportunity to utilize your nursing skills in an Adult Medical Day Center. You need to be reliable, as an RN needs to be present to open the center. Duties Conduct thorough client assessments, including vital signs, physical examinations, and medical history documentation. Administer medications and injections safely, and medication management, adhering to HIPAA regulations. Provide acute pain management, triage clients efficiently in urgent care or emergency room settings, and coordinate care plans with multidisciplinary teams. Support clients by managing memory care needs, behavioral health issues, and assisting with activities of daily living in assisted living or nursing home environments. Document all patient interactions accurately in medical records, ensuring compliance with NJ Dept of Health and other regulations. Collaborate with physicians and specialists in specialized areas such as medical, infectious disease care, hospice & palliative medicine.. Qualifications Valid RN license with current state licensure; experience working in hospital medicine or critical care environments preferred. Demonstrated proficiency with EMR/EHR systems including Cerner and Epic; familiarity with medical terminology and physiology knowledge essential. Prior experience in diverse clinical settings such as ICU, emergency medicine, labor & delivery, or outpatient clinics is highly desirable. Strong skills in patient assessment, medical documentation, medication administration (including IV insertion), and aseptic technique. Experience working with individuals with disabilities or developmental challenges; knowledge of Workers' Compensation law is a plus. Ability to perform physical examinations, vital signs measurement, and basic nursing care. Excellent communication skills with the ability to triage effectively and provide compassionate patient care across age groups from young adults to geriatrics and special needs clients. $42.00 - $45.00 per hour Expected hours: 16.0 - 24.0 per week
