Key Qualifications:

Current RN license valid in New Jersey Previous experience in a school or pediatric nursing setting preferred Strong background in supporting students with special needs Skilled in the care and management of g-tubes, tracheostomies, seizures, and conditions such as cerebral palsy Compassionate approach with excellent communication skills Ability to collaborate with school staff, students, and families

Primary Responsibilities:

Provide direct nursing care to all students, with a focus on those requiring complex medical support Respond swiftly to health emergencies, including seizure management and respiratory interventions Administer medication and monitor health treatments according to individualized student healthcare plans Maintain accurate health records and documentation as required by school policies Educate staff and students as appropriate on pertinent health and safety issues Ensure the health room is well-equipped and organized at all times Promote a safe, supportive environment tailored to the unique needs of each student This contract position offers a consistent Monday through Friday schedule and the chance to make an impact from now through the end of the school year.
