Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our assisted living community, providing exceptional patient care and ensuring the well-being of our residents. Responsibilities Conduct thorough patient assessments, including vital signs, physical examinations, and medical history reviews to determine individual care needs. Administer medications and injections following HIPAA guidelines and state healthcare regulations, ensuring accurate documentation in electronic health record. Monitor residents' conditions closely, utilizing critical care skills and knowledge of physiology to identify changes requiring immediate intervention or escalation. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop, implement, and update personalized care plans aligned with residents' goals and regulatory standards. Supervise nursing assistants and other team members to ensure high-quality patient care, compliance with nursing policies, and adherence to long-term care regulations. Coordinate discharge planning, case management activities, and utilization review processes to optimize resident outcomes and resource utilization. Experience Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing with the appropriate state licensing board. Demonstrated experience working in assisted living facilities or long-term care environments; prior nursing home experience is highly preferred. Strong background in geriatrics, dementia care, behavioral health, and memory care practices. Proficiency with EMR/EHR systems. Hands-on experience with IV insertion, medication administration including injections, phlebotomy, catheterization, sterile processing, and specimen collection/processing. Knowledge of hospital medicine standards such as ICU or Level I/II trauma center experience is advantageous for managing acute situations effectively. Familiarity with physical assessments, diagnostic evaluation techniques, pain management strategies including acute pain management practices. Ability to lead teams effectively through supervising staff while managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Understanding of HIPAA regulations along with state healthcare laws governing long-term care facilities.
