Educate patients and their families on mental health conditions, treatment options, medication adherence, and lifestyle modifications to promote recovery and resilience. Requirements Valid Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) degree with specialization in psychiatry or behavioral health nursing. Current licensure as a registered nurse (RN) with certification as a Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) or equivalent credential. Demonstrated experience working with diverse populations including children, geriatrics, individuals with developmental disabilities, or those in hospice & palliative medicine settings. Proficiency in using EMR/EHR systems such as Epic or Athenahealth for medical documentation and patient management. Strong knowledge of psychopharmacology, medication administration protocols, and drug enforcement regulations (DEA). Experience with telehealth platforms to provide remote psychiatric services effectively. Familiarity with critical care environments such as ICU or emergency medicine is advantageous for comprehensive patient assessment skills. Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively within multidisciplinary teams while maintaining HIPAA compliance.
