Overview We are seeking a reliable and experienced Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to provide nursing support for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Responsibilities may include medication-related training and competency activities, nursing documentation, health-related staff education, and development, implementation, and review of individualized care plans, within the nurse's applicable scope of practice and agency/NJ DDD requirements. The nurse will primarily support our Middlesex County operations but must be willing and able to travel throughout New Jersey to agency locations and/or residential settings as needed. Responsibilities Provide medication administration education and training as permitted by applicable requirements. Assist with medication competency and practicum activities as appropriate. Observe and educate Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) regarding medication administration and health-related needs. Develop, review, update, and/or implement individualized nursing care plans within the nurse's applicable scope of practice. Complete nursing assessments and documentation as applicable to the position. Educate DSPs and caregivers regarding medications, medical conditions, care plans, and health and safety needs. Review individuals' health information and communicate changes or concerns to appropriate team members. Maintain required nursing, training, competency, and care plan documentation. Follow applicable NJ DDD requirements, nursing regulations, and agency policies. Travel to various locations throughout New Jersey as scheduled. .
