Cerner Program:
Travel Nursing Responsibilities Provide direct, evidence-based nursing care to neonates in a Level III NICU, including monitoring vitals, respiratory support, IV therapy, and medication administration per physician orders. Assist with neonatal procedures and specialized care, including coordination of equipment and line management as needed. Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, and other members of the neonatal team to develop and implement individualized care plans. Document assessments, interventions, and patient responses accurately in the Cerner EMR; ensure timely handoffs during shift changes. Monitor for early signs of distress, support ventilated or high-risk neonates, and respond to neonatal emergencies following established protocols. Support family-centered care by communicating with families, providing education, and offering emotional support as appropriate. Adhere to infection control practices, safety protocols, and unit policies; contribute to a positive, child-friendly NICU environment. Requirements Active NJ or compact nursing license required at submission BLS and NRP certifications required Minimum 2 years of recent NICU experience Prior travel nursing experience strongly preferred Cerner EMR experience preferred Ability to work in a LevelIII NICU
