Position Overview Facility is seeking an experienced Travel Operating Room Registered Nurse (RN) to support perioperative patient care. The RN will provide safe, comprehensive nursing care across the surgical continuum, including pre-operative and post-operative assessment, patient education, documentation, safety, and collaboration with the perioperative team. The ideal candidate will have strong OR/surgical patient care experience , excellent assessment and clinical skills, and the ability to prioritize care in a fast-paced surgical environment. Key Responsibilities Perform systematic, comprehensive, and accurate patient assessments across the pediatric through geriatric populations. Provide competent direct patient care and demonstrate strong clinical nursing skills. Demonstrate knowledge and appropriate use of emergency equipment and procedures . Provide nursing care based on the patient's condition, surgical procedure, and type of anesthesia. Complete accurate and timely documentation of assessments, interventions, patient education, and progress toward expected outcomes. Perform pre-operative and post-operative assessments and patient/family education. Assess patient and family understanding of surgical procedures and related instructions. Support safe patient transfers using appropriate body mechanics and transfer techniques. Follow National Patient Safety Goals , Universal Protocol, and two-patient-identifier requirements. Maintain patient confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA guidelines. Recognize changes in patient condition and appropriately prioritize and direct patient care. Collaborate with the perioperative team to provide safe, individualized patient care. Demonstrate knowledge of surgical conditions, procedures, and equipment encountered in the Operating Room. Maintain professional standards, follow policies and procedures, and participate in clinical/professional development. Promote a positive, respectful, patient

Pre-Admission Testing (PAT) Responsibilities For candidates functioning in the PAT RN capacity: Support timely completion of required patient testing. Review Pre-Admission Testing (PAT) orders for appropriateness and potential omissions. Evaluate testing requirements based on the proposed surgical procedure, patient age, and current health status. Required Qualifications Registered Nurse (RN) license

• Required Minimum 3 years of experience Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing Associate's Degree in Nursing (ADN/ASN) is the minimum required degree Strong experience with: Patient assessment Clinical nursing skills Surgical patient care Patient care delivery Documentation Emergency equipment/procedures Patient education Pre-operative and post-operative care National Patient Safety Goals Safe patient transfer techniques Preferred Qualifications CNOR certification•Preferred Operating Room/perioperative nursing experience Pre-Admission Testing (PAT) nursing experience Experience caring for surgical patients across different age groups Strong knowledge of surgical procedures, anesthesia considerations, and perioperative equipment

Pay:

$58.00
