RequiredEducation:
Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing Associates or Bachelor's Degree
- Preferred Duties Monitor and interpret cardiac telemetry data, promptly identifying arrhythmias or other critical changes to ensure immediate intervention.
Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including vital signs, physical examinations, and physiological evaluations to inform care plans. Administer medications, including IV infusions and injections, following strict aseptic techniques and hospital protocols. Document all patient interactions accurately within electronic health record (EHR) systems such as Epic or Cerner, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations. Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to develop and update individualized care plans for patients with acute or chronic conditions. Assist with procedures such as suturing, catheterization, or tube feeding while maintaining sterile technique and safety standards. Provide education and emotional support to patients and their families regarding treatment options, medication management, and discharge planning. Qualifications Valid RN license with current registration in the state of practice. Proven experience working in telemetry units or critical care settings with familiarity in cardiac monitoring systems. Knowledge of EMR/EHR systems such as Epic or Cerner; experience with medical documentation and ICD coding is preferred. Strong understanding of physiology, anatomy, and medical terminology relevant to acute care environments. Experience with advanced nursing procedures including IV insertion, venipuncture, ventilator management, and aseptic technique. Additional skills that enhance your candidacy include ICU experience, hospital medicine background, trauma center exposure (Level I or II), emergency medicine experience, or familiarity with infectious disease care. Ability to work effectively under pressure in fast-paced settings such as emergency rooms or ICU units; triage skills are highly valued.
