A Dialysis Registered Nurse cares for patients with kidney disease and coordinates dialysis treatment for patients. Educates patients and families about dialysis treatment and equipment, and monitors patients' medications. Works under the supervision of physicians in clinical settings, including hospitals, dialysis clinics and doctor's offices, and may visit patients that receive dialysis at home.
$52/hour Join Our Dialysis Team Chateau Dialysis Center is seeking a compassionate and experienced Registered Nurse (RN) Dialysis Nurse to join our team on a PRN basis. This position is ideal for an RN with hemodialysis experience who is committed to providing safe, high-quality care to patients receiving dialysis treatments. Responsibilities Complete the patient admission process , including required nursing documentation. Complete initial and annual Nursing History and Physical Assessments . Perform comprehensive pre-dialysis and post-dialysis nursing assessments . Evaluate each patient's condition before, during, and after hemodialysis treatment. Set up, rinse, prime, connect, and prepare hemodialysis machines and equipment according to established procedures. Operate, clean, disinfect, sterilize, and maintain dialysis equipment in accordance with facility and infection-control protocols. Monitor patients continuously throughout dialysis treatment and respond appropriately to changes in condition. Monitor and document blood pressure, vital signs, dialysis parameters, and treatment-related data throughout the treatment. Provide care for patients with various vascular access types as assigned and according to unit protocols. Prepare and administer medications and treatments as ordered. Recognize and report changes in patient condition, treatment complications, or abnormalities to the appropriate medical professional. Maintain accurate and timely nursing and dialysis documentation . Follow all infection prevention, patient safety, and regulatory requirements . Collaborate with the dialysis team, Nurse Manager, Administrator, Medical Director, and other healthcare professionals. Assist with other duties and areas of the department as directed by the Nurse Manager, RN Administrator, or Medical Director . Qualifications Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of New Jersey . Hemodialysis experience required. Previous experience in an outpatient dialysis center, acute dialysis, chronic dialysis, or skilled nursing dialysis setting is highly valued. Nursing home/skilled nursing facility experience preferred. Strong assessment, clinical judgment, and patient-monitoring skills. Knowledge of hemodialysis procedures, equipment, vascular access, infection control, and dialysis safety protocols. Excellent communication and documentation skills.
