Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and highly skilled Registered Nurse (10/2 shift) to join our healthcare team. The successful candidate will provide comprehensive patient care across various medical settings, ensuring safety, comfort, and optimal health outcomes. This role involves performing detailed assessments, administering treatments, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality nursing services. The ideal applicant will possess extensive clinical expertise, strong communication skills, and a commitment to compassionate patient care within a dynamic healthcare environment. 10/2 8am to 3:30pm Responsibilities Conduct thorough patient assessments, including vital signs, physical examinations, and medical history reviews. Administer medications, injections, and treatments such as IV infusions and suturing procedures in accordance with established protocols. Manage complex care needs including acute pain management, dialysis, ventilator support, and catheterization. Document all patient interactions accurately using Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems such as Cerner or Epic. Coordinate discharge planning and collaborate with case management teams to ensure seamless transitions of care. Provide specialized care for diverse populations including geriatrics, pediatrics, neonatal patients, and individuals with developmental disabilities. Maintain strict adherence to infection control practices and aseptic techniques to ensure patient safety. Respond effectively to emergency situations such as trauma incidents or critical care needs within Level I or Level II trauma centers. Support diagnostic evaluations through specimen collection, laboratory experience, and imaging procedures like mammography or CT scans. Educate patients and families on health management strategies including hospice & palliative medicine, nutrition, and chronic disease management. Skills Extensive clinical experience in diverse settings such as hospital medicine, ICU, emergency room, outpatient clinics, long-term care facilities, assisted living communities, or home care. Proficiency with EMR/EHR systems including Cerner and Athenahealth for accurate medical documentation. Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, ICD coding (ICD-9/ICD-10), CPT coding, and laboratory procedures. Skilled in advanced nursing procedures such as tube feeding management, ostomy care, NG tube placement, and sterile processing techniques. Experience working with specialized populations including individuals with disabilities or dementia-related conditions such as Alzheimer's or dementia care. Ability to perform complex procedures like cardiac catheterization assistance or trauma medicine interventions confidently. Familiarity with Workers' Compensation law and occupational health protocols for injury management. Excellent communication skills for triage assessments and interdisciplinary collaboration. Knowledge of HIPAA regulations ensuring confidentiality of patient information at all times. Pay:
$46.58 - $56.09 per hour
