Job Description

Overview Join our dynamic healthcare team as an Infusion Nurse, where your expertise will directly impact patient care and comfort. In this vital role, you will administer infusion therapies, including IV medications and fluids, to a diverse adult patient population in private practice setting. Office hours are Monday through Friday from 8am to 7pm. Anticipated shift would require 3-5 hours per day starting at 10am with last infusion starting at 3 or 4pm. Duties Administer IV infusions, medications, and fluids accurately following established protocols and aseptic techniques Assess patient conditions through vital signs, physical examinations, and comprehensive evaluations to determine appropriate infusion plans Monitor patients during and after infusion therapy for adverse reactions or complications, responding promptly to ensure safety Educate patients and their families about infusion procedures, medication effects, and post-treatment care to promote understanding and compliance Maintain meticulous medical documentation ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including physicians, Nurse Practitoners and Medical Assistants to coordinate patient care plans Requirements Valid nursing license (RN) with current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) preferred Proven experience in IV insertion, venipuncture, catheter care, and aseptic technique in clinical settings such as hospitals or outpatient clinics Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems for accurate documentation Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and pharmacology related to infusion therapies. Critical care experience such as ICU or emergency room background is highly desirable Ability to work independently as well as with colleagues while maintaining high standards of safety and patient care in fast-paced environments such as hospital medicine or outpatient clinics
Pay:
$150.00 - $225.00 per day
