Category Schools - RN Nurse Job Type Contract Take your nursing expertise to a vibrant school environment near West New York, NJ, where you'll provide dedicated 1:1 care to a student in need of ongoing support. This full-time, contract opportunity runs through the entire 2026/27 school year, making it ideal for experienced RNs or LPNs seeking stability and a meaningful connection with one student. Your day will involve not only attending to medical needs during school hours but also accompanying the student on the bus, ensuring continuity of care and safety every step of the way.
Qualifications:
Valid RN or LPN/LVN license in New Jersey Previous pediatric nursing experience required Ability to manage routine and emergency needs in a school setting Strong organizational skills, reliability, and compassion No new graduate applicants; prior hands-on experience is essential Willingness and capability to ride the bus with the student each day
What You'll Do:
Deliver direct 1:1 medical care and support for a student during school hours Accompany and ensure safety on daily bus rides to and from school Administer medications and treatments as prescribed Monitor, document, and report changes in the student's health status Collaborate with school staff, parents, and healthcare providers Maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations at all times Foster a safe, nurturing environment that supports the student's participation in school activities Take this opportunity to make a daily impact in a supportive educational setting while using your pediatric nursing skills to improve a child's quality of life.
