Hackensack Meridian Pascack Valley Medical Center is a 128-bed, full-service, acute-care community hospital with a new emergency department, a state-of-the-art maternity center, a women's imaging center, and an ICU.

Responsibilities:

The RN Staff Nurse functions as a caregiver for a specific patient population in order to achieve desired outcomes. This position directs and oversees the care provided by other caregivers through delegation, validation, evaluation, and coordination. This position effectively coordinates patient care/unit activities among nursing peers, physicians and support services. The RN Staff Nurse reports to the Nurse Manager.

Qualifications:

Job Requirements:

Graduate of an NLN/AACN-accredited program in nursing Current valid NJ State Professional Registered Nurse license. BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care. Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification (ACLS) Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC 2 years of experience required

Preferred Job Requirements:

Neonatal Resuscitation (NRP) Certification, with successful completion of certification within 6 months of hire Emergency Nurse Pediatric Course (ENCP), with successful completion of Certification within 6 months of hire Experience with electronic health records is a plus Rate of pay is determined based on experience and education and may include other pay components such as differentials and call pay based on role.
