$1,980

•2,160 gross weekly for qualifying travelers, equivalent to approximately $55

As soon as possible Position Overview Advantage Staffing Services is seeking an experienced Registered Nurses for a mixed Medical-Surgical and Telemetry unit at a community hospital in Artesia, New Mexico. The ideal candidate will bring strong Telemetry experience, sound clinical judgment, and the ability to care for a varied adult patient population. This position requires an RN who is comfortable managing both general Medical-Surgical patients and patients requiring continuous cardiac monitoring. The selected nurse should be able to transition into the unit quickly, prioritize effectively, recognize changes in patient condition, and collaborate closely with physicians and the interdisciplinary care team. Responsibilities Provide comprehensive nursing care to adult Medical-Surgical and Telemetry patients Perform head-to-toe assessments and develop individualized plans of care Initiate, monitor, and interpret continuous cardiac telemetry Recognize dysrhythmias and promptly report significant changes in patient condition Administer medications, IV therapies, blood products, and prescribed treatments Monitor patients with acute and chronic medical conditions Respond appropriately to rapid-response and emergency situations Manage peripheral IVs, central lines, drains, feeding tubes, oxygen therapy, and other clinical equipment Provide preoperative and postoperative nursing care as assigned Coordinate admissions, transfers, discharges, and patient education Maintain complete and accurate documentation in the electronic medical record Collaborate with physicians, nursing leadership, respiratory therapy, pharmacy, rehabilitation, Case Management, and other departments Follow hospital policies, infection-prevention practices, and applicable regulatory standards Float within appropriate areas of competency when required Minimum Qualifications Active New Mexico RN license or qualifying multistate compact RN license Minimum of two years of recent Telemetry nursing experience Current Medical-Surgical nursing competency Proficiency in cardiac-rhythm interpretation and dysrhythmia recognition Current BLS certification Current ACLS certification Ability to manage a mixed Medical-Surgical and Telemetry assignment Strong assessment, prioritization, communication, and critical-thinking skills Ability to work independently and as part of an interdisciplinary team Preferred Qualifications Previous travel or contract nursing experience Experience in a rural or community hospital Previous charge-nurse or preceptor experience Experience with rapid-response and code situations Familiarity with common electronic medical-record systems Compensation and Benefits Travel compensation of approximately $1,980
