2 Description American Traveler is hiring an experienced Operating Room RN with at least two years of large OR experience and prior travel assignment history. Details Operating Room unit within a hospital setting 13-week assignment with a Monday through Friday schedule starting at 6:30 AM 40 hours per week, 8-hour day shifts Floating between departments and/or local facilities within 20 miles is required Requirements Active RN license (New Mexico or Compact) BLS required through AHA, American Health and Safety, or American Red Cross ACLS and PALS preferred if obtained Associate's Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) required Minimum two years of current experience in a large OR setting Must be able to scrub Must have successfully completed at least one prior 13-week travel assignment Epic EMR experience preferred but not required Ortho, EENT, and/or vascular experience a plus Additional Information Provide direct patient care using the nursing process including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation Coordinate care through collaboration with patients, families, and the healthcare team Administer medications and treatments per physician orders and protocols Assume clinical supervision responsibilities for LPNs and non-licensed assistive personnel Complete population and procedure-specific education and competency testing per unit standards Must be a team player, flexible, and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility; local candidates not eligible Former Presbyterian Health Services staff must wait one year before being eligible for rehire as a traveler
