1 Description American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg Tele RN for a level II trauma center, requiring a NM or compact RN license and at least 1 year of med/surg experience. Details Work in the Medical Unit of a 43-bed level II trauma center Adult patient population (18+) with common diagnoses including cirrhosis, sepsis, pneumonia, respiratory illnesses, wounds, and CHF Patient ratios of 1:5 and 1:6 Uses equipment including VS machines, bladder scanners, IV pumps, thermal imaging, lifts, and tube feeding pumps Cerner EHR system used Day shift schedule from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM Weekly guaranteed hours of 36 Weekend work expected at least 2 shifts per month per facility policy Floating required per facility needs No on-call requirements Requirements Active RN license (New Mexico or Compact) required BLS certification required (must be AHA) Minimum 1 year of experience required, 2 years preferred ADN required Med/surg experience preferred Charge nurse experience preferred but not required Oncology skills helpful but not necessary Additional Information Provide medical-surgical nursing care to adult patients with a variety of acute and chronic conditions Block scheduling may be considered on a case-by-case basis Facility is a 198-bed hospital serving the Four Corners region of New Mexico, Arizona, Colorado, and Utah Facility offers services including medical, surgical, rehabilitation, childbirth, cancer, nephrology, pediatric, and behavioral health care
