About the Role Corus Health is looking for a part-time Hospice Registered Nurse to provide compassionate, patient-centered care to residents at Laguna Rainbow Elder Care Center. In this role, you'll deliver skilled nursing care that preserves dignity and comfort for patients and families during one of life's most meaningful chapters. Candidates who live closer to the Care Center are strongly preferred, given the nature of the visit schedule. Key Responsibilities Conduct initial and ongoing assessments and develop, implement, and revise individualized hospice plans of care Provide skilled nursing services including pain and symptom management Notify physicians of patient condition changes and process related orders, certifications, and recertifications Respond promptly to urgent patient or caregiver needs, including crisis intervention Supervise and train LPNs and HHAs, including required supervisory visits Educate patients and families on hospice philosophy, end-of-life care, and symptom control Coordinate care with the interdisciplinary group (IDG) and participate in IDG meetings and care conferences
Requirements:
What We're Looking For Current, unencumbered RN license in New Mexico Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing Two years of nursing experience preferred; hospice or palliative care experience a plus, not required Sound clinical judgment and the ability to provide compassionate end-of-life care in varied settings Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with sensitivity to diverse cultural, spiritual, and emotional needs Current CPR certification Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license; proximity to Laguna Rainbow Elder Care Center preferred Why Join Us At Corus, you're joining a team shaped by five generations of care, where trust, transparency, and collaboration guide everything we do.
