$38-$55 per hour, based on experience and qualificationsSchedule:
Variable; includes on-call responsibilities Position Overview We are seeking a skilled and dependable OR/PACU Registered Nurse to join our surgical services team. This position requires strong critical-thinking skills, the ability to work independently, and a commitment to providing safe, high-quality patient care throughout the perioperative experience. The ideal candidate is comfortable working in a fast-paced surgical environment, understands sterile technique and sterile-field procedures, and is able to respond promptly to on-call needs. Key Responsibilities Provide safe, effective nursing care to patients in the Operating Room and Post-Anesthesia Care Unit. Assess, monitor, and respond to patients' clinical needs before, during, and after surgical procedures. Demonstrate strong critical-thinking and independent decision-making skills. Maintain and support a sterile field in accordance with established surgical standards. Apply proper sterile technique during procedures. Collaborate effectively with surgeons, anesthesia providers, nurses, and other members of the healthcare team. Monitor patients during recovery and promptly recognize changes in patient condition. Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation. Follow hospital policies, procedures, and applicable regulatory and professional standards. Participate in on-call coverage and respond within the required timeframe. Promote patient safety and infection-control practices throughout all phases of care. Qualifications Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the applicable state. Previous OR and/or PACU nursing experience preferred. Strong clinical judgment and critical-thinking abilities. Ability to work independently and effectively in a team environment. Knowledge of sterile technique and maintenance of a sterile field. Current BLS and ACLS certifications required. PALS certification required within 12 months of hire. NRP certification required within 12 months of hire. Must be available for on-call responsibilities and able to arrive at the hospital within 20 minutes when called in. Compensation & Benefits Competitive pay: $38-$55/hour, based on experience, clinical background, and qualifications. Direct-hire employment opportunity.
