New Mexico Behavioral Health Institute (NMBHI) - Adolescent Center Job Summary The New Mexico Behavioral Health Institute is seeking compassionate and dependable Registered Nurses (RNs) to provide quality nursing care to adolescents receiving behavioral health treatment. The ideal candidate will promote a safe, therapeutic environment while working collaboratively with the interdisciplinary treatment team. Responsibilities Provide direct nursing care and administer medications as prescribed Assess, monitor, and document patients' physical and behavioral health status Respond to psychiatric and medical emergencies using appropriate interventions Support patient safety through therapeutic observation and de-escalation techniques Collaborate with psychiatrists, therapists, physicians, and other healthcare professionals Educate patients and families on treatment plans and medications Maintain accurate documentation and follow NMBHI policies and standards Requirements Active New Mexico Registered Nurse (RN) License Current BLS Certification Minimum one (1) year of nursing experience preferred Behavioral health or psychiatric nursing experience preferred Strong communication, critical thinking, and de-escalation skills Benefits $48.50 per hour Weekly pay Flexible PRN scheduling Professional development opportunities Join the Adolescent Center at NMBHI and help make a difference in the lives of youth receiving behavioral health care.
