Overview Registered Nurse - Postpartum, Milan, NM. Start 09/21/2026 for a 13-week travel assignment in a hospital setting.
Weekly pay:
$2,564-$2,653 per week, with 36 guaranteed hours per week. Shift is 12-hour rotating nights (3x12), with potential coverage on holidays and weekends as needed.

Setting:
Hospital Perinatal/Postpartum (LDRP) unit Travel assignment with orientation and cross-training as required Responsibilities Deliver direct postpartum nursing care to mothers and newborns across the postpartum period Conduct thorough patient assessments; develop, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans Provide clear, culturally sensitive education to patients and families; support health literacy and transitions of care Direct and supervise licensed practical nurses, nursing assistants, and other ancillary personnel; maintain accurate documentation in the electronic health record Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and the broader care team; participate in quality improvement and patient safety initiatives Float to other departments as needed with appropriate orientation and training; uphold NM Nurse Practice Act, hospital policies, and current evidence-based guidelines Requirements Active New Mexico RN license or eligible for multi-state compact (eNLC) license Current Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) from the American Heart Association (or equivalent)
Certifications:
ACLS, NRP, and Intermediate Fetal Monitoring required STABLE certification required within 12 months of hire
Education:
ADN required; BSN preferred
Experience:
Perinatal/postpartum clinical experience or relevant obstetric nursing knowledge; ability to work in a fast-paced hospital setting Benefits and Support Guaranteed hours: 36 per week Contract duration: 13 weeks with potential extension
