Job Description
WSi Healthcare Personnel seeks a dedicated Registered Nurse to provide essential care in a correctional facility setting. In this role, you'll assess patients, administer medications, respond to urgent and emergent situations, and coordinate care with an interdisciplinary correctional healthcare team. You'll work within a structured, secure environment, following strict safety and infection-control protocols. Responsibilities Provide direct patient care to incarcerated individuals following physician orders and nursing protocols Administer medications, treatments, and immunizations safely and accurately Perform patient assessments, triage urgent needs, and respond to medical emergencies Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation and medical records Collaborate with correctional healthcare teams, security staff, and outside providers Educate patients on health management, chronic disease, and medication adherence Follow safety, infection control, and security procedures specific to correctional settings Participate in ongoing training, quality improvement, and compliance with facility and legal standards Required Skills Patient assessment Medication administration Emergency response and triage Correctional healthcare protocols Infection control Electronic Medical Records (EMR) documentation Care planning Wound care IV therapy and phlebotomy Vital signs monitoring
