Position Overview:
We are seeking two dedicated and compassionate School Registered Nurses (RNs) to support student health services within Central Consolidated School District. These onsite roles involve providing comprehensive nursing care, promoting student wellness, and ensuring compliance with state health regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform responsible and complex duties related to school health policies and procedures Maintain strict confidentiality when handling sensitive or potentially controversial information Participate in the planning, implementation, and evaluation of school health programs in accordance with New Mexico regulations Advocate for student health needs and rights within the school setting Deliver health services using the nursing process (assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation) Identify and address health concerns, including social, physical, and psychological factors affecting student learning Facilitate communication between students, families, school staff, medical providers, and community resources
Caseload/Assignment Details:
District-wide placement (specific school site to be determined)
Qualifications:
Associate's degree, Bachelor's degree, or higher in Nursing Current Registered Nurse (RN) license issued by the New Mexico Board of Nursing Current Professional School Nurse License issued by the State of New Mexico Strong clinical judgment, communication, and organizational skills Previous school-based or pediatric experience preferred
