Boulder City, NV Job Details Per diem $53.25 an hour 19 hours ago Qualifications PALS Certification Patient transfer methods BLS Certification ACLS Certification Critical care (emergency response procedures) Full Job Description Registered Nurse (RN) - Emergency Department Per Diem / PRN, non-benefited | Boulder City, Nevada Boulder City Hospital is seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Emergency Department team. This position provides professional nursing care to patients presenting with a wide range of urgent and emergent conditions while collaborating closely with physicians and interdisciplinary team members to ensure safe, high-quality patient care in a supportive community hospital environment. Position Summary The Emergency Department RN is responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care for individuals experiencing acute and emergency medical conditions. The RN works in a fast-paced environment requiring strong clinical judgment, prioritization skills, and the ability to respond quickly to changing patient needs. Essential Functions Provide comprehensive nursing care to emergency department patients in accordance with hospital policies and professional standards Perform patient assessments, triage, and ongoing monitoring of patient status Develop and implement individualized nursing care plans Coordinate care with physicians and interdisciplinary healthcare team members Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately Respond appropriately in high-pressure and emergent situations Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic health record (EHR) Educate patients and families regarding care, discharge instructions, and follow-up Promote patient safety, comfort, and emotional support at all times Physical & Work Requirements Ability to work effectively during stressful and emergency situations Ability to stand and/or walk for up to 12-hour shifts Ability to lift, reposition, and transfer patients safely Ability to respond rapidly to emergency patient care needs Qualifications Current Nevada RN license in good standing Minimum 3 year Emergency Department experience preferred Current ACLS, PALS, and BLS certification required Strong critical thinking, communication, and teamwork skills Why Boulder City Hospital?
