Works under the supervision of a physician or other specialist, and serves as the primary point of care for patients in a hospital setting. May specialize in emergency room work, or treatment for a particular condition, or specialize in working with infants, the elderly or other patient groups. May work as an advanced practice specialists and prescribe medications in addition to offering specialty care.
Job Overview We are seeking a compassionate and dependable Registered Nurse (RN) to provide high-quality nursing care in a accredited residential treatment center for at-risk adolescent girls. In this role, you will be expected to support the physical and emotional well-being of youth navigating trauma, mental health challenges, and substance use disorders. You will prepare and administer medications, monitor health status, collaborate with the clinical team, and respond to medical needs in a calm, therapeutic manner. Your presence will help create a safe, structured, and healing environment where teens can focus on recovery and growth. Qualifications Proven nursing experience Active Nevada RN license BLS Certification Must be able to pass drug test and background check Responsibilities Provide direct nursing care to clients including conducting health assessments, administering medications, weekly monitoring of vitals, and scheduling outpatient appoints as necessary Demonstrate kindness, compassion and honesty while working with our clients Communicate effectively with all other members of the clinical team, residental staff, clients, and parents/guardians Proper documentation of admission notes, progress notes, and shift summaries.
