LOCATION

NYS-Wende Correctional Facility in Alden, New York (Eerie County-near Buffalo)

Travel Pay:

63.50 hourly at 2382 weekly and 1532 NOT taxed

Local Pay:

57 Hourly at 2138 weekly (37.5 Hours Weekly)

Length:

13 weeks but can be up to two years

HOURS :

5 8 hour shifts -all shifts available (Days, Evenings or Nights)

Med/Surg/Correction Duties:

Perform health assessments to identify new symptoms of possible undiagnosed conditions or complications. Administer medication, manage and deliver restorative or palliative care to the ill, disabled and dying. Teach and counsel patients about maintenance of health and prevention of illness or complications. Execute medical regimens as prescribed NY Licensed Physicians, Dentists, Nurse Practitioners, Physician Assist and Podiatrists. Includes advance Practice Nurses such as Clinical Nurse Specialists. Must have at least 1 year of Med Surg experience. Corrections experience is a plus! Candidates should possess the following qualifications: Valid RN license in NYS. Must have at least 1 Year of Med Surg experience Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a healthcare team are essential. A commitment to providing compassionate patient care while maintaining professionalism at all times.
