All Locations Infusion Center Hours :
Monday - Friday, 7:45 am to 6:15 pm, and occasional Saturdays 8:00 am to 1:00 pm.

Amherst Responsibilities:
Administer IV and injection medications as per written/verbal MD order and infusion policy. Coordinates and participates in a variety of patient care activities in the examination and treatment of patients to include infusion of IV medications including chemotherapy and MRI imaging material Prepare IV medications inclusive of chemotherapy mixtures Assists MRI by providing oral sedation to patients as necessary. Coordinates scheduling with Infusion Secretary. Evaluate patient care with emphasis on patient response; monitors providers' plan of care from patient assessments, medical record and other record information; maintains liaison with physicians and practice administration to ensure efficient and effective patient care services. Contributes to patient care through patient and family education, distributing resource literature and community service recommendations and referrals as needed. May be required to assist with bio-hazard cleanup (i.e. restroom, waiting area, exam room) following universal precaution/kits.
Required Education & Experience:
Associates Degree in Nursing Active NYS license, free and clear of restrictions 1+ years of working experience as a
Registered Nurse Skills Necessary:
Experience with starting IVs Strong telephone assessment skills High degree of verbal communication and interpersonal skills to determine needs, provide information, instruct, and provide emotional support in a timely and efficient manner. Strong planning, problem solving, organization, verbal communication, and interpersonal skills Ability to address and resolve conflict in a professional manner Ability to maintain strict confidentiality and follow all HIPAA guidelines Must be flexible and professional in all interactions with patients, providers and all staff Neurology experience preferred Previous high volume phone triage experience preferred Good computer skills and ability to learn EMR quickly, preferred
Compensation:
