A Registered Nurse provides medical care and treatment, educates patients about their conditions, and provides emotional support to patients and families. Works in hospitals, schools, clinics or community health centers. Works under the supervision of a physician or other specialist, and serves as the primary point of care for patients in a hospital setting. May specialize in emergency room work, or treatment for a particular condition, or specialize in working with infants, the elderly or other patient groups. May work as an advanced practice specialists and prescribe medications in addition to offering specialty care.

Job Description

HOURS:

11:30am-10:00pm, alternating weekends Unpaid Lunch Break Some Holiday work No overtime or travel required Free Parking Provided There is a urrent population of approximately 27 youth.

Other duties include:

maintain inventory standards for medicines, controlled drugs and narcotics. Review the overall health condition of youth by preparing and continually reviewing and evaluating plans of nursing intervention to ensure that such interventions are consistent with specific and comprehensive treatment plans. Participate in staff training, prepare clinical and administrative reports, maintain infection control standards, and function as a member of a treatment team. Additional duties will be discussed in detail during the interview.

Qualifications:

Licensed and currently registered to practice nursing in New York State Salary commensurate with scope of work job experience Proper footwear required to perform tasks in a safe manner.
