This contract position focuses on delivering high-quality patient care, working alongside an interdisciplinary team to enhance patient outcomes and foster a safe, supportive environment.
Qualifications:
Active and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license Previous experience in Rehabilitation and/or Long-Term Care (LTC) settings strongly preferred Solid clinical assessment, patient care, and documentation skills Ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification Strong organizational abilities and attention to detail Compassionate, adaptable, and skilled in handling complex patient cases
Key Responsibilities:
Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized nursing care for residents in a rehab and LTC environment Administer medications, perform treatments, and monitor patient status, documenting changes accurately Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and other healthcare staff to advocate for comprehensive care plans Provide patient and family education on care processes, health management, and discharge planning Respond promptly to changes in patient condition and participate actively in emergency interventions Maintain compliance with state, federal, and facility policies regarding patient care and documentation Support and mentor Licensed Practical Nurses, Certified Nursing Assistants, and ancillary staff as needed This contract position offers a dynamic and supportive workplace for nursing professionals who thrive in long-term care and rehabilitation settings.
