This leadership role is ideal for an RN who thrives at the intersection of clinical quality, compliance, and reimbursement strategy. What You'll Do Guide long-term planning for reimbursement models, including Medicare, Medicaid, and managed care Align clinical documentation practices with organizational goals and quality outcomes Partner with leadership to translate data insights into actionable improvements Ensure adherence to federal and state regulations related to MDS, RAI, and HIM processes Monitor audit readiness and maintain compliance with applicable healthcare standards Oversee accuracy and integrity of clinical documentation and reporting Analyze MDS data sets and quality metrics to support performance improvement initiatives Track trends related to reimbursement, quality measures, and clinical outcomes Support facility-wide quality assurance and performance improvement (QAPI) efforts Provide direction and oversight to MDS coordinators and HIM staff Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous learning Lead education initiatives related to documentation updates, regulatory changes, and reimbursement models Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) required; Master's preferred Active Registered Nurse (RN) license Minimum of 3 years of experience with MDS and/or RAI processes and skilled nursing reimbursement Experience in a skilled nursing facility (SNF) setting strongly preferred Strong understanding of Medicare, Medicaid, and managed care reimbursement structures Familiarity with SNF quality programs Experience with data analysis, reporting tools, and documentation systems Analytical thinker with strong project management capabilities Effective communicator across clinical and administrative teams Ability to interpret complex regulatory requirements and apply them operationally Proven leadership experience managing teams and driving performance Why This Opportunity Stands Out High-impact leadership role influencing both care quality and financial performance Collaborative environment with cross-functional partnership Opportunity to lead innovation in clinical documentation and reimbursement strategy Meaningful work improving outcomes for residents in a skilled nursing setting --- Atlas Search is a tri-state area recruitment agency, connecting new graduates, Advanced Practice Providers, Physicians and Nurse Leaders to hospitals, clinics, multi-specialty groups, nursing homes, managed care companies, private practices, and healthcare start-ups.
