operation, first aid, and emergency response procedures to stabilize students until further care is available Maintain accurate medical documentation within electronic health record (EHR) systems while ensuring compliance with HIPAA and confidentiality standards Communicate effectively with parents, teachers, and healthcare providers to coordinate ongoing care plans and health education initiatives Monitor the school clinic environment to ensure compliance with health regulations and safety standards Provide health education on topics such as hygiene, nutrition, injury prevention, and chronic condition management Skills Valid licensure from the State Board of Nursing with current registration in good standing Extensive experience in pediatric nursing, including school clinic experience preferred Proficiency in EMR/EHR systems for accurate medical records management Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, medical terminology, and emergency medical response techniques Hands-on skills in IV insertion, venipuncture, medication administration, and injection techniques Experience with acute care scenarios such as trauma or infectious disease outbreaks in a school or healthcare setting Ability to communicate effectively with children of various ages as well as parents and school staff Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and maintaining patient confidentiality at all times Competence in vital signs measurement, manual handling of patients, and basic life support (BLS) certification required; CPR certification mandatory Knowledge of health regulations compliance specific to school environments and nursing policy adherence This role is perfect for dedicated nurses eager to make a meaningful difference in young lives while utilizing their broad clinical skills across diverse healthcare scenarios.
