Position Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN)

• House Supervisor at a community hospital in Gouverneur, NY.

The House Supervisor will provide nursing leadership and oversight across the hospital, coordinate patient flow and bed management, support emergency and rapid response situations, and supervise nursing care delivered throughout the organization. The hospital includes a 25-bed inpatient unit, 7-bed Emergency Department, and day surgery services. The inpatient unit serves medical, detox, and swing-bed patients, with an average daily census of approximately 19 patients.

Key Responsibility:

Provide house-wide nursing supervision and leadership across all hospital units. Coordinate patient flow, bed management, admissions, transfers, and discharges. Respond to emergencies, codes, rapid response calls, and crisis situations. Supervise nursing care and support staff throughout the facility. Coordinate transfers to higher levels of care when required. Monitor and report sentinel events and address patient safety concerns. Ensure compliance with infection control, isolation procedures, and regulatory standards. Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to ensure safe, efficient patient care.

Requirements:

Active, unrestricted NY State Registered Nurse (RN) license. Minimum 1 year of House Supervisor or RN Manager experience. Previous travel nursing experience required. EPIC experience is a hard requirement AHA

• ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications required.

Strong leadership, communication, clinical judgment, and crisis-management skills. Ability to work independently in a supervisory role. Must be willing to work every other weekend. First-time travelers are not accepted. Local candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility. COVID card (Medical/Religious exemptions are accepted)
