1 Description American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Emergency Department position requiring an active NY RN license and prior ER experience. Details Work in a 25+ bed Emergency Department with additional hallway capacity, serving all patient ages NYS Designated Stroke Center Nurse-to-patient ratios range from 1:3 to 1:5 Night shift schedule with 3x12-hour shifts, with 7a, 10a, or 11a start times Shifts may include 3p-3a or 7p-7a Required to work every other weekend Rotating holiday coverage required No floating required Charge nurse role is staffed but not assigned to travelers Nurse aides, hospitalist, and 24/7 respiratory therapy support available No 24/7 pharmacy or IV team support Uses
EPIC EMR
Requirements Active New York State RN license in good standing required ACLS, PALS, and BLS certifications required Minimum 2 years of RN experience required Must be able to read telemetry strips Experience with drips and ventilators required BSN not required Additional Information Provide emergency care to patients of all ages in a high-acuity acute care setting Unit-specific orientation provided Scrub color is not restricted All requested time off must be submitted at the time of application
