Interventional Radiology Intake Location:
New Hyde Park Hours/Days:

4/10 Hour Shifts; Mon,Tue,Thu,&Fri (Between 7-7) (RDO Wed)

In This Role, You Will:

Start and Maintain IV's for Radiology procedures including but not limited to CT scans and PET/CT scans. Monitor and chart vital signs, weight and height Collaborate with a team of healthcare professionals to share expertise and knowledge. Conduct cancer research to enhance treatment protocols assigned to cancer patients. Provide supportive resources for the patient and the families to promote a positive outlook. Teach patients and the families regarding treatment expectations. Watch and record the patient's progress on a constant basis. Chart the patient's response to treatment and medication. Complete MAR after treatment. Provide the patient with discharge instructions that are specific to the patient as well as emergency numbers after care.

We Require:

Valid New York State RN License Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required. Excellent assessment, communication, and organizational skills. Proficiency with an EMR (preferred) Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk working on a computer, standing, bending and reaching Knowledge of standard precautions and the ability to utilize appropriate PPE when administering cytotoxic agents and handling bloodborne pathogens and bodily fluids Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times. Reliable transportation to travel to NYI locations for patient care needs
