Job Description

Overview Do you want to be part of a mission-centered care team where you have the autonomy to care for older women and find joy in your work? Is caring for older women something you enjoy doing? Are you interested in being part of a unique healthcare model? If so, we might have the position for you!! The Sisters of St Joseph are seeking a full time RN to join our team in caring for the Sisters who are living independently, but who require some additional support and oversight. The RN Holistic Care Partner is responsible for coordinating health and wellness services for the sisters that live in the Capital District. The RN Holistic Care Partner works in collaboration with other members of the health and wholeness team, and community life team, with the goal of enhancing the ability of sisters to continue to live independently and to help them maintain health of body, mind and spirit. Qualified candidates will have the following skills:
  • Ability to travel to and from locations throughout the Capital District as needed (must have a valid, current driver's license). A car will be provided.
  • Associate's degree in nursing, bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Able to demonstrate strong clinical nursing assessment skills, required.
  • Minimum of 3 years of related experience in an environment where clinical nursing skills, care coordination and care management skills were required; Home Care experience preferred.
  • Affinity for innovation, creativity and creating good change.
  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written; with the ability to advise, recommend and support the care being promoted.
  • Experience in working with geriatric people and an understanding of the aging process.
  • Understanding of the unique culture of woman's' religious communities preferred; experience in parish nursing, a plus!
  • Able to work independently, as well as collaboratively on a team and support a positive work environment.
This is a full-time position. Telephone on-call in rotation with other staff is also required. A comprehensive orientation and training will be provided. In addition the Sisters of St. Joseph offer a comprehensive benefits plan with health, dental, vision, retirement, life insurance and other coverages.
Pay:
$85,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
