• RN Nurse Job Type Contract Step into an impactful role supporting a 9th grade student in the Depew, NY area, with easy access from Lockport and surrounding communities.

This contract assignment offers a unique opportunity for an experienced Registered Nurse to provide dedicated, 1:1 care in a school setting. The student experiences absent seizures, yet remains actively involved in all classroom and extracurricular activities—including participation on the JV football team. Your presence will ensure a safe environment during school hours and football practices.

Schedule details include:

Full-time hours, Monday through

Friday:

3:00 PM

• 5:30 PM Saturday mornings: 10:00 AM
• 12:00 Noon Immediate start, continuing through the end of the academic year Key qualifications: Valid RN licensure in New York State Previous experience as a school nurse or providing pediatric care preferred Confident, compassionate, and attentive to individualized medical needs Ability to respond calmly and promptly to medical emergencies Strong communication with students, families, and school staff Core responsibilities: Provide vigilant, 1:1 medical care and supervision both during classroom activities and football practice sessions Follow the care plan precisely, monitoring for signs of absent seizures Communicate and document all care-related observations and interventions Collaborate with teachers, coaches, and parents to support the student's well-being and active participation in school life This rewarding position offers an hourly rate of $40•45, reflecting your expertise and dedication.
