Rockland Psychiatric Center is recruiting a Registered Nurse 2 Community to work with individuals with mental illness to prepare them for discharge to a skilled nursing facility. Candidates from outside or within State Service can apply. As a Registered Nurse 2 (Community), you would directly provide, oversee, and coordinate nursing and health related care services for a caseload of individuals in a community setting, such as a Family Care Program, Mobile Integration Team, and outpatient clinic; perform clinical case management activities; serve as a member of an interdisciplinary treatment team; and provide nursing-specific clinical, consultative, and instructional assistance to individuals and their families, other disciplines, and health care providers. Minimum QualificationsCandidates from outside and within State Service may be considered for hire under the Hiring for Emergency Limited Placement - Statewide (NY HELPS) program as a Registered Nurse 2 Community if they have: Possession of a license and current registration as a registered professional nurse in New York State; and one year of post-licensure clinical nursing experience providing direct services to individuals diagnosed with mental illness, developmental disabilities, addiction, or substance use disorders in a community setting. OR Candidates from within State service may be considered for transfer to a competitive class position if they have one year of permanent competitive or 55-b/55-c service in a title eligible for transfer under Section 70.1 of the Civil Service Law. Additional Comments:
Posted hiring rate includes the sum of the statutory hiring rate for PS&T Grade 20 ($75,193), an Increase Hiring Rate ($9,980), and Geographic Pay Differential ($20,000). The posted job rate is the sum of the statutory job rate ($94,121) Geographic Pay Differential ($35,000). This position does include an additional $4,000 location pay.
