Wellbound Home Care, a leading provider of home-based healthcare services, is seeking experienced Occupational Therapists to join our expanding team in Brooklyn and throughout the boroughs and Long Island, NY. As part of our team, you will have the opportunity to work with pediatric and adult clients with special needs in their home environments, providing individualized care and support to help them achieve their full potential. Responsibilities:
Support clients with fine, gross, and visual motor skills Assist with sensory and emotional regulation, cognition, and activities of daily living (ADLs) Provide effective and timely communication with clients and team members Educate and train caregivers (e.g., Home Health Aides) to ensure skill carryover Complete documentation in a timely and professional manner Travel to multiple locations within your assigned region
Requirements:
A valid New York State OT License (required) Proficiency in outpatient therapy techniques and home health practices Strong knowledge of anatomy and physiology, and the ability to effectively treat diverse populations Experience working in clinics, skilled nursing facilities, or home health preferred Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with patients, families, and healthcare teams Ability to develop rapport with patients while demonstrating empathy and patience Strong organizational skills to manage multiple cases efficiently while ensuring quality care If you are a dedicated and compassionate Occupational Therapist looking for a new opportunity, we encourage you to apply to this exciting role.
