Category Nursing - RN-ER Job Type Contract An exciting opportunity awaits for a skilled Emergency Room Registered Nurse to contribute compassionate, expert care in a fast-paced environment. This contract position is ideal for a dynamic RN with solid experience in emergency nursing, ready to work night shifts in a 48-treatment space ED. You'll play a vital role in a dedicated team, delivering high-quality service and ensuring excellent patient outcomes.
Schedule:
3x12-hour night shifts per week
Key Qualifications:
Current RN license with active, unencumbered status Minimum of one year of recent experience working in an Emergency Department setting Proficiency with rapid clinical decision-making, triage, and evidence-based interventions Experience managing 1:5 patient ratios in a busy ED BLS and ACLS certifications (additional ER certifications preferred) Strong assessment, communication, and teamwork skills Adaptable and composed under pressure, with a focus on compassionate patient care
Core Responsibilities:
Assess and manage urgent and emergent patients within the ER, utilizing advanced nursing skills Collaborate with physicians, techs, and ancillary staff to deliver the highest standard of care Accurately document interventions, medications, and events in the EMR Respond swiftly to changes in patient conditions and actively participate in code situations Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans, procedures, and follow-up care Maintain compliance with safety, infection control, and hospital protocols This contract role offers a rewarding chance to make a positive impact in a large, team-oriented emergency department.
