This role involves providing comprehensive nursing care and support to participants during the trip, ensuring their health, safety, and well-being are maintained at all times. The ideal candidate will possess a strong clinical background, excellent assessment skills, and the ability to adapt quickly to dynamic environments. Rustic Trip 6th Grade Responsibilities Conduct thorough patient assessments upon arrival and throughout the overnight trip, including vital signs, physical examinations, and health history reviews. Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, including injections, IV infusions, and wound care such as suturing. Monitor participants for signs of acute pain, infectious diseases, or other health issues, providing immediate intervention when necessary. Maintain accurate medical documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations and organizational policies. Manage emergency situations by implementing critical care procedures, utilizing aseptic techniques, and coordinating with emergency services if required. Ensure infection control protocols are strictly followed to prevent the spread of illness during the trip. Collaborate with team members to develop individualized care plans for participants with special needs or chronic conditions. Assist with medical equipment setup and management, including ventilators or other specialized devices if needed. Provide health education and coaching to participants on wellness practices during the event. Support discharge planning and follow-up procedures post-trip as appropriate. Qualifications Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing. Prior experience working in critical care settings such as ICU or emergency medicine is highly desirable. Knowledge of EMR/EHR systems like Epic or Cerner for accurate documentation. Experience with medication administration, IV insertion, suturing, and aseptic techniques. Familiarity with infectious disease protocols, trauma medicine, and acute pain management. Strong assessment skills with the ability to respond effectively in emergency situations. Experience working with diverse populations including individuals with developmental disabilities or memory care needs is preferred.
