9632658-12203 Job Description Step into a rewarding opportunity as a school nurse working with elementary-aged students, supporting their health and well-being throughout the academic year. Two full-time floater positions are availableone for a Registered Nurse and one for a Licensed Practical Nurseproviding critical nursing coverage across elementary schools in a dynamic, supportive environment. This contract assignment features steady weekday hours from 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., aligning seamlessly with the school calendar. Notably, one of these positions will transition to provide dedicated 1:1 care for an elementary student with a tracheostomy during a maternity leave period, beginning in December and lasting through the end of the school year. Qualifications & Experience Current licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN/LVN) Pediatric experience or previous work in a school setting is preferred Competency in basic nursing care, medication administration, and care for children with medical complexity (trach care experience is highly valued) Excellent communication skills and a compassionate, adaptable approach Ability to multitask while maintaining attention to detail in a fast-paced environment Responsibilities Provide general nursing support as a floater across elementary schools Respond to student medical needs, administer medications, and deliver first aid as needed Collaborate with educators, staff, and families to promote student safety and health Maintain accurate health records and documentation From December to end of school year, offer focused 1:1 care for a student with a tracheostomy during a maternity leave This is your chance to make a meaningful impact in young lives while working alongside dedicated education professionals.
