Custom Healthcare Solutions is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse with Hematology/Oncology experience for a contract assignment with a leading outpatient oncology practice in Uniondale, NY . This opportunity is ideal for an RN who is comfortable working in a fast-paced outpatient setting and supporting patients throughout their oncology care. The nurse will work closely with physicians, advanced practice providers, fellow RNs, and other members of the interdisciplinary team. Schedule Day shift 4x10 schedule / 40 hours per week 8:00 AM - 6:00 PM Flexible days off based on department needs Monday through Friday No weekends Opportunity for contract extension based on facility need and mutual interest Pay Package Estimated weekly gross: up to $2,321 based on 40 hours worked. For qualified travelers, the package may include approximately $24.15/hour taxable wages plus up to $1,355.20/week in non-taxable travel reimbursements. Local candidates may also be considered with a fully taxable pay package. Travel reimbursement eligibility is based on applicable tax-home requirements. Final compensation may vary based on eligibility, hours worked, and assignment terms. A complete pay package breakdown will be reviewed with qualified candidates. Responsibilities Provide nursing care and support within an outpatient Hematology/Oncology practice Assist physicians, advanced practice providers, and fellow RNs with patient care Assess patients and communicate changes in condition to the appropriate clinical team Provide patient and family education regarding treatment plans, medications, symptoms, and ongoing care Perform telephone triage and symptom management Manage patient phone calls and follow-up needs Coordinate care and communicate with members of the interdisciplinary team Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation Proactively assist other nurses and providers throughout the clinic Support efficient patient flow within the outpatient practice Requirements Active New York State RN license Minimum 2 years of relevant RN experience Hematology/Oncology experience required Outpatient or physician office practice experience preferred Oncology certification preferred Current
